# Your own private Kazi. Set up, connected and run for you.

If rules keep your firm off public ChatGPT and Claude, you still get a real AI agent. Kazi Private puts your team on its own Kazi instance, hosted by a HIPAA-compliant partner that signs a BAA and runs open-weight models such as DeepSeek. We do the setup; your team just uses it.

## Public AI is off the table. The work is not.

Patient records, privileged files and client financials cannot go into a public chatbot, so most regulated firms either ban AI or watch staff use it anyway. The usual alternatives are a HIPAA chat window that only answers questions, or a do-it-yourself local model nobody has time to run. Neither one does the work.

- **Healthcare:** Protected health information under HIPAA needs a Business Associate Agreement with anyone who handles it.
- **Legal:** Client confidentiality and privilege rule out pasting matter files into consumer AI tools.
- **Finance:** Client financial data falls under privacy and record-keeping rules that public tools were not built around.
- **Government contractors:** Controlled information has to stay with providers and environments you can account for.

## What you get

- **The whole Kazi agent:** The same Kazi your team would use in the cloud: it plans the work, works across your connected tools, and delivers the finished result.
- **For the firm and each person:** Shared projects for the team, and a personal assistant for everyone, including the Kazi Voice app on their phone.
- **Meetings, documents and follow-through:** Kazi works with your documents and meetings and turns them into the next step, inside your instance.
- **Your own instance:** Your firm's Kazi runs on its own instance, separate from every other customer.

## Where it runs

- Your Kazi instance is hosted by a HIPAA-compliant hosting partner whose service includes a signed Business Associate Agreement.
- Models are open-weight models such as DeepSeek, run by that partner, not public ChatGPT or Claude.
- Before anything goes live, the assessment gives you a written list of every outside service your instance will use, such as meeting, voice or text providers, so your compliance review starts from facts. Anything you do not approve stays switched off.

## Done for you

1. **Assessment:** We learn your rules, your tools and the work you want off your team's plate, and write down exactly how data will flow.
2. **Set up and connect:** We stand up your instance and connect the apps you choose, each one read-only or able to update, as you decide.
3. **Train your team:** Your people learn to hand Kazi real work, on the web and on their phones.
4. **Run it:** We keep the instance running and current, and stay on hand when the work changes.

## Control over what Kazi can do

- **Read-only, connection by connection:** Every connected app is set to Only read or Can update. Give Kazi read-only access to your EHR, document system or CRM and it can look things up and draft, but it cannot change a record. The platform enforces it; it is not an instruction the model could ignore.
- **Ask before changes:** With Ask Mode on, a change through a read-only connection stops and asks you. With Ask Mode off, and for background and project agents, that change does not run at all.
- **Access by project:** Projects hold members with roles, and each project's agent has its own access list, so work stays with the people it belongs to.
- **Your own instance:** Your data sits in your firm's instance, not in a shared public model.

## Questions people ask

### Is there a BAA?

Yes. Your instance is hosted by a HIPAA-compliant hosting partner whose service includes a signed Business Associate Agreement. We walk through the agreements during the assessment.

### Which AI models does it use?

Open-weight models such as DeepSeek, run by our HIPAA-compliant hosting partner. Your data does not go to public ChatGPT or Claude.

### Is Kazi Private HIPAA certified?

No software is HIPAA certified; HHS does not certify products. Kazi Private gives you a BAA-backed host, your own instance and access controls that support your HIPAA program. Your compliance still depends on how your firm uses it.

### Does any data leave the instance?

Only through services you approve. The assessment lists every outside service your instance would use, such as meeting, voice or text providers, and anything you do not approve stays off.

### Can Kazi change records in our systems?

Only where you allow it. Each connection is set to Only read or Can update, and the platform enforces it, so Kazi can read your EHR, case files or CRM without being able to change them.

### Who sets it up and keeps it running?

We do. The assessment, setup, connections, team training and ongoing running of the instance are part of the service.

### What does it cost?

It is scoped to your firm after the assessment: how many people, which tools, and how much work Kazi takes on. Book a call and we will price it with you.
